In Celebration of Our 22nd Anniversary

We were married on the "21st night, September" 1996. It was a simple wedding, officiated by our pastor, Steve Murrell.

Although the clothes and the circumstances were less than ideal, the Lord did bless our union that day. And even after two decades, 5 pregnancies, a sea of tears and a million "shoulda-coulda-woulda's", I can honestly say today that I am so blessed to be married to the man of my dreams.

Neighborhood Princess Tea Party

Just when we thought that our tea party fever was dying down, I met our Cuban neighbor the other day.  Her daughter would occasionally bump into Sabina at the pool, but we had never formally met.  They needed to carpool with the Simpsons, and needed their phone number.  The conversation somehow went to the topic of tea parties, and Carmen exclaimed, "Oh, I'm planning one for Mati (her daughter) on Friday.  Can Sabina come?"

And so the rest of the story can be viewed in Sabina's Album.  I guess that tea parties are here to stay...

Playing Dress-up and Having Tea

For her 7th birthday, my little sunshine wanted an all-girls' tea party. Since I didn't have my china, and had no energy (nor expertise) to whip up some scones, we opted for this quaint new tea parlor called Annabelle's Place.

The girls came in their frilly attires to sip tea and make believe they were grown-ups. We made fans, tattoed our arms and ate lots of tea cakes.

Happy birthday, Sabina!

Sabina's Tea Party (By Ari)

I haven't gathered my thoughts (and pictures from the various cameras), so I've been slow in posting.  But I am so grateful that Ari Esteban has posted a beautifully written BLOG   on the subject.  Arielle is the daughter of Rommel and Flor Esteban, formerly from the Alabang congregation, and whose presence here in Penang is truly a blessing to us.
